well you need atleast an associates degree to be a police officer so unless you have that…nothing you can work at some jails with just a high school diploma and since you have experience i suppose it would be in the same field

Question by Emily: Are there television shows that film in Ireland?
I work in the wardrobe department of a major american talk show and absolutely love it. I am going to be graduating this coming year and would like to continue working in the industry but I also want to live out my dream of living overseas. Does anyone know if there are shows that film in Ireland and if there is a union you have to be a member of to work in wardrobe? I really don’t totally care what part of Ireland, I am looking for an adventure! Also, would my citizenship be a problem? There is a possibility of getting dual citizenship as my dad is a British citizen. Thanks!

Question by alaskanmetal: Are there any legit job agencies for work in foriegn countries or are they just scams?
I am very skeptical of any job agency that offers work overseas but I would like to go on such an adventure. I seek work in almost any country that loves Americans. I need not make allot of money, I want to do it for the adventure. I am a welder of 26+ years and single… currently working in the Alaskan oil industry on the north slope.

There is a real demand for skilled American workers abroad but there are so many scammers that it is very difficult to find off shore employment. The best way is through a friend or relative that is working off shore.
If any agency asks for money before you go to work, run ! They ware crooked.

Question by seagoddess1966: How can I find a job as a live in manager at a funky little motel?
I’d like to start a new career, and have always thought it would be an adventure to be an on-site manager at one of the funky little motels you see in beach towns. Any suggestions about where to start looking? Any special publications about that industry?

Question by jonrdraper: READY to move to Hawaii immediately, but not sure to what Island to move, or which towns have job opportunity?
I’ve got a couple of thousand saved up…and I’m ready for a new adventure. But I’m not sure as to what Island in Hawaii has the most to offer for a transplant. I’m looking for great local beaches, smaller community-type that’s self-supportive with decent-enough paying jobs. Further, what industries are in constant-hire mode, and are there any difficulties I can expect in obtaining employment? Any other information is welcomed…Thanks.

I think you would have better luck in a big city on the mainland. A couple thousand won’t last long at all.

Question by tahlasimsim: Where should I advertise or find an agent to advertise a REAL ADVENTURE in Africa, involving development?
I would like to advertise a tour, search for clients who are specialists in journalism, law, environmentally friendly tourism, business, education, poetry, crafts, music and much more to come into an area for about a month to learn about its problems and try to commit themselves to solving them. And the problems and challenges ARE NOT EASY, PROMISE: Malaria, HIV, climate change, deep poverty, no sweet water, semi-arid conditions, political suicide, environmental degradation but especially wood-cutting that helps to support and informal salt industry that could affect 100,000 people from Tanzania to Congo. The challenge is to define the problems and to cooperate and work together under the aegis of a tour licence. Sort of kibbutzic but not really. No big rules, except those set up by the culture (Islamic/ animist/ witchcrafty/ disadvantaged) I could post up more info on a website. I imagine this might attract sophisticated bored professionals in New York Review classifieds or?

List your adventure in the Travel Section on Ebay. It doesn’t have to be an auction but a BUT IT NOW advert.
